The First Spiritual Development Course in New Mexico
Under the guidance and protection of Su God, Sukuinushisama, Seishusama, and Oshienushisama, six people from the Albuquerque/Santa Fe area received Omitama at the first New Mexico primary spiritual development course, conducted in front of the family Goshintai at a member's home in Santa Fe on March 5, 6, and 7, 2010. We want to express our hearty congratulations to the newest members of our Light-giving community and their guiding members.
The course was a great success thanks to the exceptional effort and gracious hospitality of the host family, to the staff member who traveled to Santa Fe to give the course, and to the out-of-town and local members who offered their support and service throughout the course. Six members came all the way from Atlanta, Georgia, to support us! Also attending were two members from Colorado, five from Santa Fe, and five from Albuquerque. We are supported by our "parent" center director from Phoenix, who plans to visit New Mexico every three months.
We resolved to aim to hold the primary spiritual development course in New Mexico twice per year, with the next planned in September. Meanwhile, at least three members from NM are planning to attend the intermediate spiritual development course at Sukyo Mahikari HQ on August 27-29.
Those of us in the southwestern United States, let's continue to give Light and accumulate more experiences to help us prepare for the next course! And to all members in North America, the New Mexico centers extend our invitation to all to visit our centers whenever you have an opportunity.
  • In Albuquerque, the hours are 4pm - 8pm Tuesday and Thursday, and 9:00 - 12:00 Saturday.
  • In Santa Fe, the hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 pm and Sundays from 11am to 1 pm, and by appointment.
The addresses and phone numbers are on the main website. It's always best to call ahead to arrange your visit, especially when bringing guests, to check on the availability of members and to ensure a positive experience for all. Hope to see you soon!
